Texted pictures of an old claw foot tub we are restoring for our house.  Quickly got an estimate, and had a scheduled time within a week.  Tub turned out beautiful!  The guy that did the work was so professional.  Explained every step of the processes.  Made sure everything around the tub was protected.  I would highly recommend this company!

I called them to get a price quote about reglazing my bathtub, but I was unable to reach someone at first. About an hour later, I received a text message apologizing for missing my call and asking what service I needed. They responded quickly to my text messages with answers to my questions and a quote for the job I needed done. He even included a photo with their license information, which is very important. The quote I was given was a good price, and he was able to schedule an appointment around our busy schedules. On the day of the appointment, he communicated when he would be arriving and even arrived early. He was prepared and explained everything to us. He knew the reglazing process created a strong order so he took the necessary steps to make sure our house was well-ventilated. I greatly appreciated this, specifically because we have three little dogs, and I’m very sensitive to smell. The project was completed faster than expected, and we were very pleased with the work he did. He cleaned everything up and threw away any trash. He explained his findings, the work he did, and the aftercare. He even asked again about the smell and if it was too strong. We really appreciated his thoughtfulness. In the end, we paid the price we were quoted. No pressure sales. Very pleased with this company! Thank you!

My tub is 14 years old. The finish was worn and etched from hard water. I called ProTub Refinish and Miguel texted me back requesting pictures for a quote. I took several photos and sent them to him. He got back to me quickly with a quote of $375.00. We scheduled a time. He wanted to work on the 4th of July! I thought that showed he was a hard worker. He set up the time of 7:30 AM. Said it would take 3-4 hours. He came right on time. He laid down drop clothes from the front door all the way to the tub. covered everything with plastic and taped off the whole project. He worked quickly and was done by 11:30. The tub looks amazing. He even rechaulked. He cleaned up everything. No mess was left behind. I would highly recommend him. Super nice guy. Great work.

My experience with Pro Tub was very good. I text Miguel(the owner) a picture of my tub for a quote in the late afternoon and he responded the next morning not only with a quote but also sent his contractor’s licence and bond information. He showed up on time and greeted me with a smile and a hand shake. He work steady the whole time and took the extra effort to prep the work area to keep everything clean. When he was finished resurfacing the tub he made sure to clean up after him self. Miguel had a positive attitude and a lot of pride in his craft.

We found the reglazing company and they recommend us too send some additional photos through a text message that way we could get  a quote which we did we scheduled the job too be done they came out and honored the quote we had one tub almond color look came out perfect match on my vintage tiles another bathroom we had a fiberglass enclosure in white came out amazing despite the way it looked before .
Also in my kitchen we had a countertop glazed
On a black speckled finish the smell was a bit strong I’d recommend texting them vs calling
Seems they respond quicker .
There licensed as well .My home is coming all together in a great budget .

Wow! Miguel did an amazing job on my tub. He took great care in prepping as to not damage or soil any of the surrounding areas as he worked on my tub. His work is very detailed and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. He shared this is a family owned business and he and his brothers work alongside his father. Price was very fair and it comes with warranty. So glad I chose this company vs. the others I got quotes from.

Our house was built in 1924 and the bathroom has subway tile and an old cast iron tub. We considered gutting the bathroom and starting over, but after seeing tub and tile refinishing on HGTV, we decided to try it. The Protub guys did an amazing job. All the chips, cracks, and missing grout were repaired. And the glossy finish is perfect – just like new! And at a fraction of the cost of total renovation.

They did a great job on our vintage 1931 tub…. they invested extra time to get all of the peeling finish off before he sprayed….. they quoted a reasonable price on the phone and despite the fact that there was additional work included because of the age of the tub, they never requested more money. Thank you for the great recommendation! I just had a bathtub enclosure surround refinished. WOW! it looks so great! The nice thing about this process is there is no demo or construction mess. My Vintage Bathtub made in 1930s is a master piece protub refinish came out and reglazed it in a couple of hours.

I recently bought a foreclosure property that was previously rented to tenants. The bathtubs were over 25 years old and looked every bit of it. They came out looking brand new, better then brand new because they awful texture was sanded out and now they are way easier to clean. I would recommend them to everyone that could use new tubs. Ok so here is my review on Miguel and ProTub refinishing
First I live in Simi Valley which is a long way from where Miguel/ProTub is
Second I grilled Miguel on the phone because I’ve had two resurfacing jobs go way south on me and the previous companies had basically a “tailgate”warranty. As long as I could see their tailgate I had a warranty
Third I found Miguel on Yelp because I actually did research tub resurfacing before going for it again. He explained exactly why the other companies work had failed,that it was something he commonly dealt with,and humbly in his cool Miguel way reassured me that his prep work would prevent my tub from ever looking like this again. So with my fingers crossed I had him come out and he showed up on time,did everything he said and the finished product is beautiful. Just so you all know….I waited 7 months to do this review because the last company’s work started failing at about 4 months and got steadily worse until my bathtub looked like one you would find in tenement housing.
Not anymore! My tub and shower pan in my master bath looks as awesome as it did the day Miguel was finished. He even came all the way back out to my house when one little spot needed a touch up. No hassle or haggling….just happily showed up and took care of it
Fourth. This guy is one of the most personable dudes I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He had nice conversations with both my wife and I and was never in too big of a hurry to hang out and talk within the realm of reason. I’ve been a small business owner for many years and could learn a thing or two from Miguel’s work ethic, professionalism, attitude and business acumen. I would highly recommend him to anybody wanting to have anything done that he does. You will be completely impressed by him and thrilled with the work that he does.

I have a fiberglass bathtub that had a crack and was not useable for fear of mold growing. I called ProTub in hopes to save it. Miguel came out restored the crack and reglazed the tub. He finished it off with new caulking around the top. Now I can use the bath again and of course it looks great. Thank you for saving me the cost of a whole new bathtub.

I also had my bathroom counter top unfortunately refinished because of a chip.
A plastic like sealer was used which makes it look cheap. I would not recommend this.

Protub finishing does amazing work. I had traveled to LA County to visit my Grandparents, and they had just hired Protub to re-glaze their old tub. When I say old tub, I mean an almost 100 year old claw foot tub. We were leery about letting anyone refinish it due to its age, but Protub put us at ease from the get go. Long story short…the finished product looked amazing. The crew was professional and courteous to my elderly grandparents, and I felt as though the price was unbeatable. They serviced my parents house that we are putting up for sale. I thought they did a good job on a really old tub. They were good about keeping the area clean. All of the tub refinisher companies are expensive (in my opinion) and are around the same price. There’s an extra fee for anti slip stuff that we didn’t try.

We had previously had some very shoddy work done by a different company that peeled up, so they had to first strip and then reglaze the tub. The nice thing about this process is there is no demo or construction mess. It was done so fast, and it didn’t smell bad at all. They are also insured and bonded which for me is very important. My landlord found Protub Refinish through a referral.

Miguel refinished the standup shower in our master bathroom. Before he worked on it, I hated taking a shower in it. It was dingy, peeling, cracking and rusty. Miguel came over yesterday, worked his magic and now it’s like BRAND NEW. It’s all white with a nice clean shine. I’m happy!

We had (being evicted) a very problematic renter who’s most recent complaint to excuse his constantly late rent was that his tub needing to be refinished due to a patch of missing glaze and few chips. The fact is he never bothers to clean his bathroom (doesn’t even have any cleaning supplies) in the nearly 2 years of living there and only now brought it up. I should know since I painstakingly cleaned it of stains before he moved in and once again, as a courtesy, after repairing a leak from an annual inspection.

Miguel went above and beyond for 3 weeks attempting to contact by calls and text to schedule with our problematic tenant or his other occupants in order to resolve his complaint. He even contacted on Sunday, which they’re normally closed.

Aside from the before and after photos, we don’t know the quality of the work as we aren’t bothering to checking until the tenant vacates.

I called this company when my bathroom was looking really dingy. My cast iron tub was looking worse for the wear. My husband wanted to get rid of it, not knowing it was possible that it could be refinished.

Now my old cast iron tub looks brand new. They also re-glazed the tiles around the tub. These were not in the best shape and even had holes from grab bars that had been filled with grout. It all looks amazing now. It is amazing how those two things completely re-vamped my bathroom and made it look beautiful again.

I contacted the company and I texted the photos of the old/ tub combo. They quoted a price and we agreed on a date and time. Miguel arrived right on time.
Miguel and his helper were very careful with their equipment since I had just installed new flooring. They covered the floor and kept a clean work space. They did an excellent job. Searching for the right refinisher wasn’t easy this is my third company that we have tried. our past experience did not go so well and decided to price out a licensed refinisher vs. a non licensed you can assure me the cost was literally the same. I was Surprised at that and take my word don’t hire an unlicensed contractor, you won’t get any follow up. don’t do what I did and go through the hassle of having peeling within weeks. We’re thrilled with the work that Protub Refinishing provided (note that there is the strip fee to remove all glaze) if you have but it’s worth it….. Thank you guys!!!! I live in a rental and the owner remodeled the whole house but the bathtub since it was cast iron and was in good shape but had chipping. I found Protub on yelp, gave the info to the owner. He had the bathtub refinished plus the surrounding tiles.

I don’t normally like to write reviews. But today I’m making an exception. I I looking for a reputable company to re glaze my bathtub and found them here on Yelp and saw that it has very good reviews. Which I liked. So I called the number listed in the page. And get a answering service and it says that the mailbox is full!!! But it also says that you can email them to get a quote. Ok. So I emailed them. Like a day later I get a response asking me to send some pictures for a more accurate estimate. So I send the pictures. Then I get my estimate. But o still have a few questions so I asked them to contact me via phone. I prefer to speak to a person directly. I never hear from them. I tried calling multiple times and I only get the same recording.

I don’t know if this is a one man company. Which I’m lo with that as long as he can provide a good customer service. But so far I can’t speak positive about them. Now I’m starting to wonder if those positive reviews are legit?

Ok I just wanna give an update about Miguel.
Noticed a small problem with the tub and it’s been about 6 months since he was here. So I sent him a text and he responded hours later which is understandable since he is working. Well anyway he came by on the same day and took care of the problem. I really appreciate that.

I can’t praise the experience with this company enough. Miguel came to reglaze two showers for me and they turned out great.
He was clean and considerate making sure to use an air system that blew the strong odors out of the window. He put plastic over everything in the bathrooms and on the carpet leading to the bathrooms to make sure it all stayed clean.
He answered all my questions and when I noticed some of the glaze dripping after he left, I contacted him and he returned to fix it the very next day without hesitation.
He stands by his work as he has been in this business a long time. I’d like to add that he never asked me to write this review, I’m just extremely pleased with the entire experience! Don’t hesitate to contact him.

We called and emailed for a bid on a countertop. It took 4 days for a response on our bid but we did end up scheduling a date and time. They arrived and it literally took them 5 hours to finish. I love the new look I also took some pictures I recently scheduled for my tub to do and be replaced. I was placed on a two-week wait and I asked why so long? Talking to the owner he mentioned they are family-owned business and operated small business and make sense to me. Just on the side note to add on if you’re looking for a fast same day service you won’t find it here but what you will find is really good quality work!

It’s been about 2 months since the refinish and I waited about 3 weeks to use the bath just to make sure. You CAN use it like 48 hours after but I just wanted to make sure.

So, I’ll keep it simple so you can make your decision.

1. It still looks good and feels good.

2. The technician was suuuuuuuuuper professional that I would honestly trust him in my house alone.

3. I don’t know the method he uses but he has better pricing than anyone.

4. He was super clean and the outcome was BEAUTIFUL!

I would seriously invite this guy and his family to Thanksgiving Dinner.

I called and got the voice mail to either email or text photo for estimate so I did. I received a quote by text at night with a few options for appointment dates. I chose the following day and Miguel showed up as promised. He was very professional and courteous in texting and in person. He set up his work area very neatly and covers floor where he need access to. I didn’t even have to vacuum after he’s gone! He vented the odor out and advised me to allow 24 hour for drying. Just to be safe and I’ll leave it for a couple more days. He offers 3 year warranty.

By the way, this is the second time I have to reglaze my bathtub because the other company with nearly 5 star yelp review couldn’t get the job done right. The other company offered me life time warranty but won’t honor it and insisted me for misusing my bathtub. I was tired of calling them back and each time have to hear them accusing me for something I didn’t do. I’m yet to see if the refinishing job Protub did for me holds but it looks nice and brand new after a day.

I will update a week later with photo. Cross my fingers there’ll be no issue.

It took me a while to write my review. We had Miguel work on our bathtub enclosure and decided to refinish the bottom portion of the tub only due to my budget. I am very pleased with my experience today with ProTub Refinish, and plan to use them again soon for the tub in my guest bathroom.

Thier scheduling process seems a bit unorthodox: you don’t initially speak to a live person, but actually text them pictures of your tub and ask for a quote. Still, they responded quickly, quoted an extremely fair price, and scheduled my job a the same time. They also send me a picture of thier most up to date contractors license.

On the day of the refinishing our technician arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He was very friendly and respectful of our home. Prior to getting started he put protective tarps in the area and took off his shoes, which was very much appreciated. He worked extremely clean the entire time, and left our home just the way he found it.

The entire process took about three hours. The white enamel on the tub was extremely worn down and there were several pieces missing, exposing the black bottom. With the refinishing complete, our tub looks brand new! He even took the time to replace the old caulking. After he left my bathroom looked spotless and there were no work materials left behind. Our technician did however leave us with a paid invoice and the specific terms of the three year warranty – not bad!

As someone who is very selective about the contractors that perform work in my home, I would absolutely recommend ProTub Refinish.
